What is spaying and neutering surgery like for my pet?

Spaying and neutering are considered major surgery and so our veterinarians take great care in ensuring the safety of your pet. Before surgery an examination along with blood testing will be performed to detect any health issues in your pet. Once your pet is deemed fit for surgery, our veterinarians will begin the procedure by giving your pet general anesthesia to keep them calm and reduce pain. To care for your pet after surgery, the veterinarian will prescribe pain medication for home recovery.
