I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Manitoba, with plans to graduate in 2027. I chose the veterinary field because I love how hands-on the work is—no two days are ever the same. Client interactions are another big part of what makes this career so fulfilling.
At the clinic, I appreciate how involved vet assistants are in appointments. I get to learn everything from client communication and paperwork to lab work and patient handling, which keeps me constantly learning and growing.
I’m passionate about all areas of veterinary medicine, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be exotics and wildlife. Getting to work with unique animals that most people never see up close is an incredible experience.
Outside of work, I enjoy painting and drawing in my free time. At home, I have a French Bulldog named Chips, who always keeps me entertained!
