I attended Red River College and completed the Veterinary Technologist program, graduating in 2008. I chose to pursue a career in animal health because of my lifelong love for animals and my desire to help them, giving them a voice when they might not have one. During my early teen years, I spent a lot of time around animals—grooming dogs, assisting my families' dog breeder with their dogs and racehorses, as well as showing dogs. This experience sparked my deep affection for German Shepherds, a love that continues to this day.
Since graduating, I have worked at three different veterinary clinics, all owned by the same employer. Each clinic has been uniquely different, and I've learned a great deal from everyone.
I've worked on acquiring new techniques for handling pets and discovering innovative ways to treat and care for them.
Over the years, I've developed a passion for anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, nutrition, and preventative healthcare. In recent years, my focus has primarily been on dentistry, nutrition, and preventative care, as I believe that preventing conditions and illnesses before they arise offers the best care for pets.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending my free time with my three children and our dog. I also like to work out, bake, crochet, and read.
