Jen

Hi, I’m Jen, Team Lead and Veterinary Assistant. I graduated from Robertson College in 2001 with a diploma in Veterinary Assisting, and I’ve been dedicated to animal care ever since.

My love for animals and the desire to help them in any way I can led me to this field. I have a strong passion for emergency veterinary care—I love the fast-paced environment and the fact that every day brings something different and interesting.

As a Team Lead, I truly enjoy supporting my team, helping them grow, and watching them succeed. Working alongside dedicated professionals and making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners is incredibly rewarding.

Outside of work, I’m a huge plant lover—they’ve practically taken over my house! I also enjoy gardening and taking my dogs out to the country so they can run freely. Speaking of pets, I share my home with a wonderful crew:

• Dogs: Ragnar (Mastiff), Storm (Doberman), Princess (Yorkie mix), Reign (Chihuahua), and Christopher (Chihuahua).
• Cats: Pretty (DSH) and Jewels (DSH).

One of the most interesting parts of my job is working with angry cats and dogs. I enjoy the challenge of calming them down and making their experience as stress-free as possible.
