Kendra joined our team in June 2018 . She graduated from the Veterinary Office Assistant program at Robertson College, with honours, in June 2018. Before starting at Bridgwater, she worked in a small town restaurant as a waitress/cook for over 2 years. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her family dog named Buddy. Her hobbies include activities outside such as: hiking, camping, and playing sports, as well as watching movies.
Lauren started volunteering at Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital in October 2017, after seven months of volunteering she was asked to join our team as a Veterinary Assistant. Lauren is currently attending the University of Winnipeg studying sciences. When she is not at work or school she is spending time with family, friends and her two dogs named Lida and Tucker.
Lucy joined our team here at Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital in September 2017. Lucy's love of animals started at a very young age. Her first rescue was a cat named "Buttons" who lived until 24 years of age. Lucy has worked with all kinds of animals throughout her life. In 1990, she moved from England where she lived and worked on a dairy farm. Lucy than moved to a horse ranch named Misty River Ranch with her parents and brothers. Lucy is now living near Birds Hill Park. She has two children, Erica and Jonathan.
Prior to working for Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital, Lucy was part-owner of a grooming shop and doggy daycare in Ile des chenes.
At home, Lucy has 4 dogs, 3 cats, a goldfish, 3 horses, 1 pony, and one miniature donkey.
Nicole started working for Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital in November 2017. Nicole is a graduate of the Veterinary Office Assistant course at Robertson College.
When Nicole is not at work, she loves spending time with her dog, "Tia Maria", a 16 year old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix that she got when she was just 8 years old from family. Within the last few years "Tia Maria" has had all of her teeth removed. She is a strong one! She still bounces around like a little puppy!
Oksana joined our team at Bridgwater Hospital in September 2020 as a volunteer to test out the waters of animal care. In the first week she quickly fell in love with the field and asked to start working as a Veterinary Assistant. Her education is mainly focused in therapy, however her long buried childhood dream of encountering a wild cat (such as a tiger or lion) and the experience she got volunteering at this hospital, made her reconsider her career path towards veterinary medicine.
In her spare time, Oksana loves spending time with (and spoiling a little) her 10 year old Japanese Pomeranian mix, named Jackie. Additionally, she loves anything outdoorsy: such as hiking, camping, scuba diving, and she loves practicing yoga!
