Brooke started working at Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital and Wellness Centre in October 2017 as a Veterinary Assistant. Within the past couple of years, she has volunteered at various Veterinary Hospitals where she worked with large and small animals. She has always loved animals and plans on going to Red River College to become an Registered Veterinary Technologist in the future.
At home Brooke has a giant fur ball "Willow" (a Great Pyrenees German Shepherd x) who she loves to spend time with. Brooke also likes to hang out with friends and family.
Erica has worked for the Winnipeg Veterinary Care Group since 2013 as a Veterinary Office Assistant. Her favourite part of her role is making sure that the pets have a positive experience while visiting the vet.
Erica enjoys various outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and spending time with her family, pets and her friends. She has a 10 year old cat named Hannah that her and her mother Lucy rescued from a barn in their neighbourhood.
Outside of work, Erica, also does home pet sitting for family, friends and clients while they are away .
Jessika has been a Veterinary Assistant here at Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital since August 2017. Jessika began her career by attending the Veterinary Office Assistant program through Robertson College in 2016. Jessika loves working with pets and animals of all kinds.
At home she has a Cat, "Cinder" (Her little man), and a Dog, "Maggie" (Mini Australian Sheppard/Pomeranian), who both pick up funny little traits from each other.
Kendra joined our team in June 2018 . She graduated from the Veterinary Office Assistant program at Robertson College, with honours, in June 2018. Before starting at Bridgwater, she worked in a small town restaurant as a waitress/cook for over 2 years. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her family dog named Buddy. Her hobbies include activities outside such as: hiking, camping, and playing sports, as well as watching movies.
Lauren started volunteering at Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital in October 2017, after seven months of volunteering she was asked to join our team as a Veterinary Assistant. Lauren is currently attending the University of Winnipeg studying sciences. When she is not at work or school she is spending time with family, friends and her two dogs named Lida and Tucker.
Lucas started volunteering at Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital in September 2017 and quickly became a team member two months later. Lucas is currently in his second year of his Science Degree, working towards his ultimate goal of one day becoming a Veterinarian.
During his spare time, Lucas loves to play hockey and go skiing. At home, he has a cat name "Oscar", and two basset hounds named "Rocky" and "Sage" who he loves so dearly.
Lucy joined our team here at Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital in September 2017. Lucy's love of animals started at a very young age. Her first rescue was a cat named "Buttons" who lived until 24 years of age. Lucy has worked with all kinds of animals throughout her life. In 1990, she moved from England where she lived and worked on a dairy farm. Lucy than moved to a horse ranch named Misty River Ranch with her parents and brothers. Lucy is now living near Birds Hill Park. She has two children, Erica and Jonathan.
Prior to working for Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital, Lucy was part-owner of a grooming shop and doggy daycare in Ile des chenes.
At home, Lucy has 4 dogs, 3 cats, a goldfish, 3 horses, 1 pony, and one miniature donkey.
Nicole started working for Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital in November 2017. Nicole is a graduate of the Veterinary Office Assistant course at Robertson College.
When Nicole is not at work, she loves spending time with her dog, "Tia Maria", a 16 year old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix that she got when she was just 8 years old from family. Within the last few years "Tia Maria" has had all of her teeth removed. She is a strong one! She still bounces around like a little puppy!
Rachel has worked for Bridgwater Veterinary Hospital and Wellness Centre since we opened our doors in April 2017. Rachel has studied biology at the University of Manitoba and completed a Bachelor of science (Hons) in 2016. She loves parasitology and enjoys all of the learning opportunities she has working at a Veterinary Hospital. She hopes to continue her education, pursuing a career in the medical field.
She recently spent time volunteering at an orphanage in Africa, and hopes to return in the near future. She loves to travel, play rugby and spend time with her family, friends and her dog, "Ziggy"!
